ABOUT ME
My name is Milla van der Have. I wrote my first poem when I was 16, during a physics class and I’ve been at it ever since. I started out writing in Dutch, but 10 years ago I switched to English.
I write poetry and short stories. I like a well-told story, but not an easy one. As a reader as well as a writer, I like it when not all is revealed. Also, I look for twists, be it in plot, perspective or language.
My work has been published in literary magazines and anthologies. One of my short stories has won a New Millenium Writings Fiction Award. In 2015 I published my chapbook 'Ghosts of Old Virginny' with Aldrich Press.
