Today I wrote my first Bored Panda post, detailing the story of how Ghosts of Old Virginny came to be. Read all about it over at Bored Panda!

No winter made me discontent
#thisweekinpoetry: Every week I look back at the past few days and try to find a poetic quote to match. Or maybe the other way around, I find good poetry and try to match the week with it. Whichever works. January 23 - 29 "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of York" From 'Richard III' by William Shakespeare So I took some poetic license. In this quote the speaker, our main man Richard III, isn't talking about an actual winter or an actual sun

Views of Virginia City
Before 2014 I had never heard of Virginia City. After spending 3 weeks there on a residency in St. Mary's Art Centre it has become a part of me. Virginia City is a very special place, with such sights as 'The Suicide Table', 'The Bucket of Blood Saloon' and of course the wild horses that roam wherever they bloody well want... :) Is it any wonder that poetry happened? My first English chapbook, Ghosts of Old Virginny was inspired by my stay here. It's available now on Amazon.
